The World Travel Awards is often described as the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industry.
The CTICC has been nominated for the Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Venue prize in the prestigious World Travel Awards and we need your help to win.
The CTICC is aiming for first place after being runner-up in the category in 2016. Winners are selected through a popular vote.
The World Travel Awards has been acknowledging and celebrating excellence in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries for the last 24 years.
The centre is up against stiff competition in Cairo International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Cairo; Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, in Kigali, Rwanda; Sandton Convention Centre; Durban International Convention Centre; and The Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Kenya.
“The CTICC holds fast to its vision of becoming one of the world’s top ten leading long-haul international convention centre by 2020. To achieve this we know that we have to be innovative and be the best in an ever competitive industry. Being nominated in the Leading Meetings and Conference Venue category is an honour. It conveys to us that we need to aspire to always provide our clients and visitors the best,” said CTICC Chief Executive Officer, Julie-May Ellingson.
