Call 2 Care

Call 2 Care is a Cape Town based non-profit organization, mandated to improve lives through educational outreach projects and socially conscious volunteer events.

Their mission:

To deliver sustainable outreach initiatives, in collaboration with, and to the benefit of under-resourced communities, delivering solutions tailored to the needs of beneficiary partners. By connecting those who can support, to those in need of support, Call 2 Care is able to go further and do more, together.

What they do

The NPO began as a passion to support people and became a solution. Started on Heritage Day, 24 September 2014, Call 2 Care has, every day since, worked towards remembering and honouring South Africa’s cultural heritage by connecting with underprivileged communities to improve health, education, financial security and work-readiness. They also uplift and empower local artists through fundraisers, provide access to basic needs and implement food gardens so that beneficiaries can earn a living and feed themselves.

Their projects

Call 2 Care was built on the foundation of encouraging independence and allowing beneficiaries to progress beyond their dependency on organisations. Consequently, many of their projects are aimed at working with communities to support them with the skills and tools  needed to empower themselves and inspire others.
