René has over 20 years of experience in Human Capital gained in mining, marine and manufacturing industries of which 15 years gained at Executive / Senior Management level. She holds a Masters Degree (HR) from the University of Stellenbosch and a Post Grad Diploma in Labour Law from the University of the Western Cape. She has completed various Leadership development programmes to strengthen her skills as an HR Executive.

Her experience has enabled her to achieve significant success in designing and implementing Human Capital strategies and objectives into tangible business solutions. She thrives in an agile, people centric and a values driven environment and has a deep-rooted passion for people and making visible changes in people’s lives, our communities and the organisation as a whole.

She is responsible for leading Human Capital strategies in support of the business’s strategic objectives at the CTICC, with the core focus on attracting and retaining top talent, developing core capabilities through talent management and enhancing diversity and inclusion in our business.
