Media Release: Cape Town International Convention Centre Successfully Renews AIPC Gold Level Certification
The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) has successfully renewed its AIPC Quality Standards Gold Level Certification following a comprehensive external audit conducted as part of the AIPC Quality Standards Programme.
This recertification confirms the Centre’s continued position among an elite group of more than 30 AIPC centres worldwide that have attained and maintained the highest international standards of management excellence.
Developed specifically for the convention centre industry, the AIPC Quality Standards Programme provides an independent assessment of management performance across key operational and strategic areas. It remains the only certification programme designed exclusively for convention and exhibition centres.
The Cape Town International Convention Centre’s Gold Level re-certification reflects the Centre’s continued commitment to quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement. The external audit confirmed the strength and consistency of CTICC’s management practices, supported by comprehensive documentation and clear evidence of the Centre’s continued commitment to the standards required for Gold Level Certification.
The AIPC Quality Standards audit evaluates performance across eleven key management areas, including customer service, facilities and operations, employee relations, health, safety and security, financial integrity, environmental responsibility, community relations, industry relations, inclusivity and supplier relations.
Centres that complete the audit consistently report that the process not only validates their ongoing efforts but also provides valuable insights for further enhancement and team engagement.
